Frequently Asked Questions
Is PDR a 100% Guarantee for every dent?
We always strive for at least a 90% reduction of visible damage, getting as close to an OEM finish on your vehicle as possible. We do this by using different PDR techniques to achieve the desired outcome of the repair. If the damage is too extensive, the dent may not be eligible for a PDR repair and will need repainting. Please keep in mind there is no cost to you if we are not able to repair the dent in your vehicle to a satisfactory standard for any reason.
Are all vehicles eligible for mobile repairs?
Most vehicles with damage that can be repaired using PDR methods will be eligible for mobile repairs. However, if upon inspection we see the repair will involve panel removal (such as taking a door off and placing it on a stand for better access to the dent) or heavier duty repair tools than we can carry with us, we will request the vehicle be dropped off at our shop location in Felton, DE. Motorcycle gas tank repairs are in-house only. The tank must be removed from the motorcycle and drained of gasoline, and then secured on our jig to ensure there is no movement of the tank during repair.
How long does a PDR repair take?
This varies because no two dents are exactly the same, it all depends on size and location of the damage. Most mobile repairs are completed within a couple of hours once we arrive. Larger damage that needs to come to our shop for repair usually has a turnaround time of 24 hours. Motorcycle gas tanks can take about 24-48 hours.
Do weather conditions affect the ability to perform mobile PDR?
Yes, mobile services can only be offered during ideal weather conditions. The techniques used to repair damaged body panels will not work during excessive heat warnings, heavy rain, or freezing temperatures. If these conditions happen to appear at the time of your appointment, the vehicle must be inside a garage, or brought to our shop located in Felton, DE. If neither of these options are possible, we can reschedule the appointment.
Can PDR be performed on bumpers?
Unfortunately, no. Bumpers are made of plastic, which act much differently than metal. Plastic can be pushed back out after being dented, but it will show ripples and waves in the paint unless it is repainted in a body shop. Since this repair is not satisfactory, we do not offer this service.
How long does a paint correction service take?
Paint corrections usually take 48 hours for our Package 1 Correction, and 72 hours for our Package 2. Please remember these times are only estimates and are subject to change.
Can I wash my vehicle immediately after paint correction service?
We recommend waiting at least a few days, but the vehicle getting wet will not hurt anything whatsoever.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes! 10% off for all active military, veterans, and first responders. Thank you for your service!
